Trudy Govier is a philosopher presently active in the Calgary area, retired from the University of Lethbridge. Govier's primary interests are in social philosophy, ethics, and the theory of argument. She has written a number of books and academic articles, as well as some columns for newspapers and the magazine Humanist Perspectives. Since 2012 Govier has enjoyed facilitating interest groups on a variety of topics for the Calgary Association for Lifelong Learners (CALL). She continues writing, with her favourite current projects being colloquial philosophical dialogues on social issues.
