Tim McVicar is a content writer and researcher and writes feature articles for The Lovepost. He has lived and worked in the Republic of Georgia, Sudan and Palestine and holds an MA from Victoria University of Wellington as well as a Master of Teaching and Education Leadership from the Mind Lab. Tim is passionate about shifting the lens of analysis from dominant cultural and economic perspectives and encouraging readers to consider viewpoints and ideas that may offer positive alternatives to the contemporary challenges individuals and societies face. His writing seeks to make academic, historical and scientific research accessible to non-specialist audiences. He also strives to document people, places and events that are unreported in mainstream media. In his free time, he explores the remote wilderness of the Far North of New Zealand, experiments with obscure herbs and spices in pursuit of novel food concoctions and procrastinates about composing his first album.
