What is this I'm feeling?

Words by

Nina  Katungi

11 Nov 2020

Emotions scattered everywhere
Senses strewn far and wild
Each trying to seek refuge
But there is no place to hide

From the tips of my fine lashes
To the dimples on my thighs
My ears start to speak in riddles
I’m just all twisted inside

The change is overwhelming
My mind has gone astray
I try to fight this new normal
But I fear it won’t go away

For now the clouds I hear them
And I will listen to what they say
The songs I see I’ll sing them too
This is how I’ll get through my day
